JAKARTA – Acer today announced several updates for products supported by AMD processors. Acer Nitro 5, gaming laptops and Acer Swift 3 have both been updated with the latest AMD Ryzen Mobile processors.
Anandtech announced on Thursday (23/05/2019) that the update of the Acer Nitro 5 will boost the second-generation AMD Ryzen 7 3750H with four cores, eight threads and a 2.3GHz base clock with a 4GHz boost will offer.
Standard TDP of 35 watts with a cTDP between 12 and 35 watts. Previously, Nitro 5 ran with Ryzen 5 2500U in cTDP mode, which allowed up to 24 watts. Thus, the Ryzen 7 3750H allows higher continuous frequencies thanks to additional head space.
The GPU is still AMD Radeon RX560X, which is comparable in performance to GTX 1050 laptops. Ryzen 7 3750H is expected to further improve the performance of the device. The Acer Nitro 5 product line offers a lot of value to the game system, and with this internal update, the value should be better.
Acer has not yet announced a price, but it should be in line with its predecessor starting at $ 669.99.
Acer Swift 3
Acer Swift 3 with a 14-inch screen also gets an upgrade. The CPU is upgraded from the Ryzen 7 2700U to the Ryzen 7 3700U. It shows the same specifications as the 3750H with four cores, eight threads, 2.3 GHz base clock and 4.0 GHz clock gain.
The main difference is that the 3700U has a standard TDP of 15 watts compared to 35 watts in the H model and offers a cTDP between 12 and 35 watts.
